WELCOME!
2024 has been a year filled with travel as I launched my current novel, Village Weavers, a story of two women born in Port-au-Prince in the 1930s. The novel follows the course of their intertwined lives from Haiti to Paris, Santo Domingo, and, ultimately, to different points in the US.
It has been wonderful to connect and reconnect with readers in the US, Canada and in the Caribbean!
You can explore my other books here, from American Book Award winner, What Storm, What Thunder, to my back list in fiction, to academic works on Haitian women's literature, Caribbean Literature, and my latest - essays on post-earthquake Haiti collected in Harvesting Haiti: Essays on Unnatural Disasters, an Isis Duarte Prize winner from LASA.
Kenbe la! Kenbe fem!
